Yarns, Wool and More in Guilderland Shop

CeCe’s Wool Yarns and More Shop has moved from Esperance to the Hamilton Square Mall, 2080 Western Avenue, in Guilderland. Owner Cecilia Tkaczyk decided that a move was in order to be more convenient for Capital Region fiber enthusiasts and people looking for natural fiber products.

She says, “We are hosting drop-in hours for new knitters and crocheters every other Sunday afternoon from noon to 4 p.m. for the next several months. For only $10, we provide needles, yarn, and get you started on making a scarf.” Upcoming dates are June 9 and 23, 2019.

CeCe’s Wool sells yarn and tools for knitters and crocheters, filters, spinners and weavers. Classes are scheduled weekly to hone or learn a new craft. All are welcome to join the social hour in the shop every Friday 5 to 8 p.m, meet other fiber enthusiasts and unwind from the week.

CeCe’s wool also manufactures and sells wool-filled bed pillows, pillow inserts, comforters and pet beds. These can also be filled with organic cotton batting or patrons can buy their own organic cotton or wool batting and make it themselves. The staff will show them how.
