CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle and natural way to release tensions deep in the body, to relieve pain and improve health. It works with the craniosacral system—the bones and soft tissues that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord that are strongly attached to the bottom and to the top of the spine (the sacrum and the occiput).

Practitioners gently manipulate these bones and evaluate the spine to find areas of soft tissue restriction. As tension is released, the spine begins to soften and realign, relieving pain and stiffness, improving cerebrospinal fluid circulation and naturally helping the central nervous system relax and perform at its best.
Ajdelsztajn says, “CST can be beneficial for conditions like neck and back pain and provides real support to those suffering from spinal curvatures such as scoliosis and kyphosis. Clients should wear comfortable clothes and will rest on a massage table during the treatment. Sessions can last 60 or 90 minutes, and are usually deeply relaxing.”
