Jill Sullivan-Keating, owner and “soapreneur” of Evolve Handcrafted Soap Company, handcrafts bath and body products made with organic ingredients, many of which are locally sourced. She says, “We specialize in soap and handcraft organic soap made with goat’s milk, as well as vegan soaps.”
She can be found from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Delmar Farmer’s Market and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. some Sundays at the Schenectady Green Market. She also frequents markets at Bethlehem Middle School and Proctor’s Theater, in Schenectady, starting in November.
Sullivan-Keating is a nurse practitioner and active member of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild who regularly attends conferences and classes to increase her knowledge of handcrafting bath and body products. Her husband Dave is an expert woodworker who handcrafts the hardwood soap decks and solid hardwood boxes.
Also available are bath and body accessories such as biodegradable soap lifts, soap savers and handcrafted hardwood soap decks. “We also handcraft beautiful solid hardwood bandsaw boxes that can be used as jewelry boxes, for decoration or for storage,” explains Sullivan-Keating. Shipping all over the country is available, including holiday gifts and custom gift arrangements.
