Heartspace Yoga’s downtown Troy studio will host Yoga for Ample Bodies, a four-week series with Nadia El-Fawal, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 9 and 30. Co-owner Elizabeth Kasius says, “Yoga is for all people, ages, and builds, but it isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. We all come together in the breath, but sometimes the external form of the postures needs to be adapted so that all bodies can enjoy its benefits.” Yoga for Ample Bodies recognizes this and presents a yoga practice approach that is accessible to those with larger body types.
Heartspace Albany expanded to Troy in 2013. The second-floor facility features an 800-square-foot main studio and a smaller space overlooking Monument Square and the Hudson River. Between their two studios, Heartspace has more than 20 instructors offering yoga and Pilates, workshops, teacher training and massage therapy, with a broad range of classes for all levels and ages at both locations.
Cost is $60 for the series. Location: 102nd St., Troy. For more information, call 518-512-3390 or visit HeartSpaceAlbany.com.
