How can I receive information on advertising?
Please go to the Advertising Overview page on our website.  All of the details you need are listed there for you.  It is best when we can schedule an appointment with you to review the various advertising and editorial opportunities and partner with you on a long-term collaboration.  Please feel free to send us an email at ads@albanyawakenings.com, and we will get back to you promptly.

Can I run an ad for one month?
We believe that advertising is most effective when done for at least three consecutive months. We discourage one month contracts with the exception of event advertisements.

What are your deadlines?
All advertising agreements, news brief submissions, ad changes and calendar listings must be received by the 5th of the month prior to the desired month of publication. Details are on our Submissions page.

How can I get Natural Awakenings distributed in my building or at my location?
If you want to partner with Natural Awakenings, and you have a fair amount of people coming to your place of business, you might want to consider becoming a distribution location for Natural Awakenings.  There is no charge, and it might even help new people discover your place of business if they are looking for a location near them to pick up a copy of the magazine.

In addition to us delivering magazines to you each month, we will also offer you one free community calendar listing in the print magazine each month.  Simply click on ‘events’ and then ‘submit event’ on our website and enter your events prior to the 10th of each month in order to be included in the print edition. (For instance:  June 10th is the deadline for the July issue.)

I would like to be in the online digital magazine.  Is that possible?
Our digital magazine that is published online is a mirror copy of our print magazine, therefore, if you advertise with us, your information will be exposed in both our print magazine that is distributed across the region as well as in our digital magazine that is distributed to our online readers and shared on all our social media networks.

I am a writer; can you publish one of my articles?
We always welcome editorial submissions. Information and guidelines for submissions of articles, news briefs, and health briefs are found on the Submissions page. We want our readers to get to know you. Submitting editorial for one or more of our departments provides you with the opportunity to share knowledge and bring focus to your business.

How do you bill for advertising? Will I have to pay for my whole contract up front?
Advertisers are charged monthly for advertising. Typically, credit cards are charged on the 10th of the month prior to the month of publication. If a credit or debit card is not available, the total amount of the contract is due in full before the first ad is run. We do require that Calendar and National Directory listings are prepaid.

Can you design an ad for me?
Yes, we are able to design ads for our advertisers, and we are trained in ad analysis. There is a small fee for ad design, determined at the time of contract.

What if I still have questions?
Whether you are a regular reader, a community member, an experienced advertiser, or new to our publication, let us know how we can help. We will also gladly speak to you or schedule a meeting to discuss advertising opportunities in person.
