Elena Ajdelsztajn is a New York state licensed massage therapist who is offering a special package of three sessions for 10 percent off during the month of December. She is certified in CranioSacral Therapy by the Upledger Institute and states that the fascia is a certain kind of connective tissue found all over the body, wrapping around and connecting all body structures.
“When the fascia gets restricted, it may begin to put pressure on the structures it surrounds, like bones, muscles, nerves and blood vessels, causing pain. Restrictions may also travel through the fascia affecting different parts of the body,” says Ajdelsztajn.

In CranioSacral Therapy, the body is treated as a whole and the therapist uses gentle, light-touch techniques to find and treat the areas of restricted fascia, and not just the areas of pain and discomfort. This helps the therapist look for and treat the potential cause of the pain, which may or may not be in the area of discomfort.

“CranioSacral therapy can be very beneficial for chronic neck and back pain, migraines and headaches, post-surgical pain and many other conditions,” she notes.
