Elena Ajdelsztajn is a certified CranioSacral Therapist and a New York state licensed massage therapist. She states that in a session, “CranioSacral Therapy can be a wonderful way to help relieve chronic neck pain.” The vertebrae in the neck are evaluated and treated with a gentle technique that helps the tight, restricted areas soften and move more freely. The bones of the skull are also evaluated and treated for slight misalignments that could cause compression of important nerves that affect neck muscles, causing pain and tension.

Other areas such as the sacrum and low back, or even the hard palate, could contribute to neck pain via the continuity of the fascial tissues. The goal of CranioSacral Therapy is to help the restricted areas release, and alleviate the pain. Some areas may release fairly quickly, while others may take more time, even more than one session.

Whether the neck pain is the result of an automobile accident that occurred years ago, a neck surgery or even bad posture and daily stress, CranioSacral Therapy can be a wonderful opportunity to help regain health and well-being.
